Gandhi

Gandhi helped his nation of India gain independence from Great Britian by boycotting british goods and only buying goods made in india. This would weaken the British economy and strengten India's ecomony. He also preached passive resistence and told all to resist all acts of violence . He said that violence only provoked Great Britian. Gandhi was imprisoned and went on a hunger strike for India. When he was released he took his famous walk to the sea to produce salt from the sea so that Britan did not have the monoply. all of the things he did was without using any violence.

The Treaty of Versailles (ended WWI)

The treaty affected germany in many ways because after they lost in ww1 they wher blamed for everything. the Germans had to pay for the damages of the war. They also took German's natural recourse's. i think this was the cause of World War II . The treaty was unfair because Germany had to take full blame for the war and disarm and give away terrotories.

Mustafa Kemal

Mustafa Kemal used education and religion as major roles to modernize and reform Turkish government. Religious faith became a individual choice which gave minority religious faiths the freedom to practice their own religion. He aspired to equality and freedom for all of Turkey. He reformed Turkey to become more modern and to have a secular government by changing some of the dress of the women, such as the fez and the veils. He also required all citizens to have surnames. Secular means not pertaining to religion, which meant more choices for Turkey.
